About Me
Adrian Richardson is one of Australia’s most recognisable chefs, known for his passion for meat, flavour-driven cooking, and food that brings people together. While his career was originally set for the skies as a pilot-in-training, a part-time kitchen job changed everything. “I ditched the flying lessons and dove headfirst into cooking,” he says—and he’s never looked back.
Raised in a family where North African, Middle Eastern, and Italian flavours reigned, Adrian developed a deep appreciation for diverse cuisines and honest, hearty food. With a vegetarian household on one side and a butcher’s block on the other, his unique upbringing shaped his love for food that’s both grounded and indulgent.
Adrian is the author of two bestselling cookbooks—MEAT, a go-to guide for understanding and cooking meat, and The Good Life, which celebrates simple, joyful meals for family and friends. His food philosophy is all about respect for ingredients, nose-to-tail butchery, and keeping it real at the table.
A familiar face on Australian TV, Adrian co-hosted … seasons of Good Chef Bad Chef on Channel 10 and tis he star of Secret Meat Business and Richo’s Bar Snacks. He’s also appeared on MasterChef Australia, Iron Chef USA, Boys Weekend, and is a regular voice on Melbourne’s 3AW and Brisbane’s 4BC.
Whether he’s educating audiences, hosting live events, or cooking unforgettable meals as a private chef or in his kitchens, Adrian brings authenticity, warmth, and over two decades of experience to everything he does.
